David Braaten

David Braaten is a co-founder and an owner of Next Generation Wealth Management, Inc. David Braaten is currently President, Chief Operating Officer, and member of the Office of the Chief Executive at Partnership Community Bancshares, Inc.

Prior to joining Next Generation Wealth Management, Mr. Braaten held a number of executive positions at Strong Capital Management, Inc. (a $29 billion investment management firm) including the build-out of the investment department as Director of U.S. & International Equity Trading. During that time, he appeared on CNBC and CNN, travelled to and worked with the major U.S. and international stock exchanges, including New York, London, Singapore, Shanghai, and Hong Kong, and spoke internationally on investment technology.

Mr. Braaten also served as a member of the Office of the Chief Executive of Strong Financial Corporation and President of Strong Investments, Inc. In this capacity, Mr. Braaten focused on client experience in their individual client relationship businesses. He was responsible for leading the advice and guidance divisions at Strong Capital Management including Retail, Advisory Services, Private Client Services, and Retirement Plan Group. During this time he was responsible for managing client relationships in excess of $15 billion.

David Braaten attended the University of Minnesota–Minneapolis and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in International Business from the Carlson School of Management. In addition, he studied at the School of Economics at the University of Seville, Spain. While attending the University of Minnesota, Mr. Braaten served as President of Circle K, an organization focused on leadership, friendship, and service. While serving in this organization, David was recognized as the Outstanding President for the Midwest Region and received the Outstanding Leadership Award from the University of Minnesota.

David resides with his wife and three children in Mequon, Wisconsin.
